MULTI-SECTORIAL PARTNERSHIP FOR ACTION ON ANTI-MICROBIAL RESISTANCE
Prince Mahidol Award Conference 2018 - Bangkok, Thailand - 2 February 2018
The emergence and spread of drug-resistant diseases is recognised as a global threat to human development affecting not only good health and well-being (SDG3), but also no poverty (SDG1), zero hunger (SDG2), clean water and sanitation (SDG6), decent work and economic growth (SDG8) and responsible consumption and production (SDG12). Vice-versa, the urgent call and challenge to care for creation are an invitation for all of humanity to work towards sustainable and integral development.

As essential participants in the social and pastoral mission of the Catholic Church, a significant number of Caritas Internationalis Member Organisations, at all levels (global, regional, national, diocesan and parish) are engaged in the delivery of health care to all in need, but particularly to those who are poor, marginalised, migrants or otherwise deprived of access to such vital care.

COMBATING THE EMERGENCE AND SPREAD OF ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE
Hotel Il Cantico - Rome, Italy - 12-15 December 2016
Infectious diseases have caused human suffering, illness and death since Biblical times, and before. Today, the threats posed by infectious diseases are today being amplified by social, economic and environmental factors that accelerate the natural phenomena that modify infectious disease patterns. As a result of inequitable distribution of the vaccines, medicines and goods available now to prevent, treat and control infectious diseases, coupled with weak public health delivery systems in developing and low income countries, a disproportionate burden of human suffering and death from infectious diseases will continue to occur.

CHANGE FOR CHILDREN, CHILDREN FOR CHANGE
Indian Habitat Center - New Delhi, India - 22 September 2016
Honourable Minister, dear Fr Frederick, dear friends, good morning! And thank you. Thank you for being here. Thank you for your commitment to make this world a better world for all children but, most particularly, for those most in need, for those who live in vulnerable situations, for those who are exploited, for those who are in poverty, for those who cannot live their lives as "children".

PLAIDOYER, REPRESENTATION ET CREATIVITE
Justice&Peace - France, 31 janvier 2016

BRINGING REAL NEEDS OF REAL PEOPLE TO ENHANCE THE 2030 AGENDA Caritas Nigeria, 13 January 2016
On the morning of Friday, 25 September 2015, in the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York, United States of America, Pope Francis stands before high-level representatives and dignitaries of 193 States, officers of various Non-Governmental Organizations, and a good number of journalists accredited to the UN. Without counting those virtually connected from every corner of the earth through the “miracle” of instantaneous communication, thousands and thousands of eyes are looking at him; thousands and thousands of hears are waiting for his words. After few seconds of meditation, he starts his historic speech before those who gathered to seek an agreement on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
